DeNA West Announces Appointment of New Chief Executive Officer

SAN FRANCISCO - October 23, 2013 - DeNA announced today that Shintaro Asako, Chief Financial Officer of DeNA West, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the company, effective as of October 21 (Pacific Daylight Time). Clive Downie, the former Chief Executive Officer, has resigned from his role.

As CEO, Shintaro will manage the company's day-to-day operations in the West with assistance from DeNA West's existing senior leadership team. Shintaro has served as Chief Financial Officer at DeNA West since 2011. Prior to DeNA, Shintaro served as Chief Financial Officer at MediciNova, Inc. from 2005 to 2011.
