DeNA and Shogakukan Announce Agreement to Explore Opportunities in Digital Media

TOKYO, JAPAN - April 20, 2017 - DeNA Co., Ltd. (Tokyo: 2432) and Shogakukan Inc. today announced their agreement to explore opportunities in digital media.

Starting today, DeNA and Shogakukan will begin to jointly explore new possibilities for creating and operating digital media businesses. Both companies will consider the future of digital media in general, as well as the process for creating articles, including the editing structure and the review of article content.

Both companies will also consider the potential to utilize, in this initiative, DeNA's knowhow gained from developing and operating many different internet services and Shogakukan's editing expertise.

At this point, no decisions have been made regarding DeNA's digital media business, including any plans related to this initiative.
