DeNA to Form Capital and Business Alliance with Rage of Bahamut Developer Cygames

TOKYO, JAPAN - November 7, 2012 - DeNA Co., Ltd. (TSE: 2432) announced today that it has agreed to form a capital and business alliance with Rage of Bahamut game developer Cygames, Inc. under which DeNA will acquire a total of 500 shares, or 20.03 percent of the fully diluted outstanding shares in Cygames for approximately 7.4 billion yen. DeNA expects to complete acquiring the shares from Cygames' current majority owner CyberAgent, Inc. and Cygames' board members on December 28, 2012.

Following the investment, DeNA and Cygames aim to strengthen their existing relationship by promoting further fusion of Cygames' creativity and DeNA's proven expertise in social game development and operation. The companies strive to develop and deliver new games to users around the world via DeNA's Mobage mobile social gaming network and platform. DeNA also plans to seat a member on Cygames' board of directors.

Since Cygames and DeNA formed a strategic alliance in February 2012, they have closely collaborated in development and marketing of mobile social games on Mobage. Rage of Bahamut, a Cygames-developed international mobile social game hit, has particularly gained immense popularity in the United States, Europe, South Korea and Japan. The title ranked number one on the top-grossing charts of Google Play and the Apple® App StoreTM in the US, and number six on Google PlayTM in South Korea. DeNA will continue to publish Cygames-developed titles worldwide on Mobage.
