DeNA to Develop New Autonomous Driving Mobility Service Platform

TOKYO, JAPAN - January 6, 2017 - DeNA Co., Ltd. (Tokyo: 2432) announced today its plan to develop a new service platform that uses autonomous vehicles manufactured by Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Tokyo: 7201).

As the first step of this initiative, DeNA plans to start conducting field operation tests in Japan in 2017 to assess autonomous driving technologies using Nissan's autonomous vehicles. By 2020, DeNA aims to test commercial usage of autonomous vehicles and business models of the driverless mobility service platform. Further details of the field operation tests and platform development plans will be announced prior to the start of testing.

DeNA has leveraged its expertise in operating internet services in a variety of business domains to develop and provide autonomous driving mobility solutions for consumers and businesses. In this new initiative, DeNA plans to continue focusing on designing and operating the service portion as well as coordinating with municipal authorities.
