For over a quarter of a century, as an Eternal Venture, DeNA has grown into the unique company that we are today, using the internet and AI to continue taking on challenges, with the support of many stakeholders.
The world is standing at a crossroads. Globalization, and the challenges that it has brought, as well as the diversification and increased complexity in values driven by the information revolution have deepened skepticism towards the world order based on national governments. In recent years, social upheavals have accelerated geographical and psychological divisions. The legitimacy of values held dear by society and individuals has been shaken.
We do not waver in the face of these irreversible changes in the world. Aspiring to be a company that creates universal value that brings hope to the future, we commit to our mission: “We delight people beyond their wildest dreams.”
While highly valuing Decency—which encompasses common sense, dignity, and humanity—we aim to deliver stunning delight to everyone, who naturally has different values and views on their lifes, and contribute to the creation of a vibrant 21st century world where diversity and complexity are welcome.
What I have focused on so far is building an organizational foundation where all employees act autonomously and each business is managed with its own distinct vision. Today at DeNA, built upon this very foundation, a virtuous cycle has emerged where the knowledge accumulated from existing operations and the insights gained from taking on new challenges continuously reinforce each other.
At DeNA, our talented employees, who always try to challenge themselves, can fully leverage their individual strengths. And by connecting people with people, businesses with businesses, and organizations with organizations, our structure to continuously create significant value is now successfully coming together.
Under our new leadership starting in June 2026, we are ready to drive powerful waves across diverse frontiers—from borderless virtual worlds to real-world communities, including Yokohama and Kanagawa. Please look forward to our next big bold changes.

The pace of technology and societal change is accelerating. To keep up—and often stay ahead—DeNA has continuously adapted to take on unexpected opportunities. Back when we founded the company, nobody (including myself) would have predicted we would operate professional sports teams, let alone machizukuri (smart city development).
From Mobage and Kaito Royale, which took everyone by surprise, to Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket loved across generations, Pococha offering a new sense of community for many people, and taxi-app GO which completely reimagined the taxi experience—all of these were born at DeNA. People often ask what exactly our core business is—is it gaming? Is it sports? But for DeNA, as an Eternal Venture, our core business is the act of taking on challenges to create new Delight.
The reason such innovative services and products are continuously born here at DeNA comes down to one thing: our talent. Our people are not just bold, but they possess the discipline to execute and deliver results. Our greatest asset is an organization that embodies both dimensions. To ensure this power is fully unleashed, we intend to shift our organizational focus from management to empowerment. Grounded in the principle that people should leverage the organization, not the other way around, we will back our people’s ambition to create Delight with our full corporate resources. We are building a cyclical organization where high-velocity 0-to-1 iteration occurs constantly, scaling those ventures into massive engines of Delight, and reinvesting the outcomes and insights back into the next innovation. This cycle isn’t confined within our own walls. We want to fairly share learnings and opportunities with the startups we build alongside, the alumni founders who build their path forward from DeNA, and our collaborative partners. We aim to be an open, breathing Delight Creation Ecosystem.
The implications of AGI* and Physical AI are staggering. While it is an incredibly exciting shift, it is also true that uncertainty has reached unprecedented levels. Amid all the voices debating what society or organizations will look like next, navigating an era like this isn’t about committing to someone else’s opinion and locking an organization in place. It requires a resilient flexibility built to thrive on change. Fluid over solid. We are designing DeNA to operate like a living organism with the capacity to adapt autonomously—a place where the builder’s mindset is naturally unlocked and refreshed.
Is this delight truly beyond the customer’s wildest dreams?
