Achieving Further Growth Through Business Structuring
DeNA also has businesses that have already progressed in their structuring and have entered a stage of autonomous growth. The Sports & Smart City Business is precisely such a "well-structured profitable business."
Strategy and Progress in Structuring
the Sports & Smart City Business
Through businesses such as BASEGATE YOKOHAMA KANNAI — which expanded into adjacent areas centered on the operation of the Yokohama DeNA BayStars and Yokohama Stadium — and the Kawasaki Arena-City Project, which leverages the know-how we have built up to date, we are expanding our earnings structure both horizontally and vertically.
Going forward, we will leverage our strength in owning real-world IP content and venues centered on sports, and leverage the capabilities and know-how we have cultivated through operating in-house events across the entire real-world entertainment area.
We will provide solutions that enhance the customer experience — with a focus on event planning and production, ticketing, and fan clubs — to external IP holders and a wide range of event promoters, including in the music industry.
As the new vision for the Sports & Smart City Business, we have set out to "deliver emotion and excitement beyond imagination through the power of real-world entertainment," and, by solving challenges facing the industry, we will deliver Delight to an ever greater number of customers.
For businesses where this structuring has sufficiently progressed, we grant a certain degree of autonomy paired with a commitment to secure growth and profitability, further driving forward their strong growth.

Growth of the Sports Business
Since entering professional baseball in 2011, we have expanded the scope of our sports business across both sports and regions — taking over operations of the B.LEAGUE's Kawasaki Brave Thunders in 2018, and making the operating company of the J.LEAGUE's SC Sagamihara a subsidiary in 2023.
