TOKYO, JAPAN - August 6, 2014 - DeNA Co., Ltd. (Tokyo: 2432), a global leader in mobile Internet services, today announced its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2014. DeNA reported quarterly revenue of 35.8 billion yen (349 million* USD), 31 percent lower than the same quarter last year, and operating profit of 7.0 billion yen (68 million* USD), 59 percent lower than the same quarter of the previous year.
"We have an exciting variety of mobile games in our pipeline, including a number of titles in new genres and ones based on blockbuster intellectual properties," said Isao Moriyasu, President and CEO of DeNA. "Building on DeNA's tradition of venturing into different businesses, we've also started pursuing opportunities in promising areas for mid- to long-term growth, such as our recently announced genetic testing service Mycode. With our expertise we also plan to bring digital innovation to primarily offline industries, build online platforms that generate compelling entertainment content, and develop the next standard of communication."
