SAN FRANCISCO - January 6, 2015 - DeNA, a global leader in developing and publishing mobile games, today launched Protocol Zero, an innovative stealth-shooter for Samsung Gear™ VR Innovation Edition powered by Oculus technology. The first immersive first person action game released for Gear VR, Protocol Zero engages players in an intense, heart-pumping 360° experience. A demo version is available now for free on the Oculus Store exclusively for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

"Samsung Gear VR Innovation Edition offers a thrilling experience of complete immersion and discovery in mobile games, and DeNA is excited to be amongst the first to tap into the device's massive potential," said Barry Dorf, vice president of partnerships and alliances at DeNA. "We've designed Protocol Zero to exclusively leverage the Note 4 and Oculus technology behind the Gear VR, including the smooth 360° scanning and movement around environments, use of hi-tech military optics, suspenseful action, and a point-to-point tactical gameplay experience."

In Protocol Zero, players will take on the role of a lone operative in a war-torn city tasked with covertly infiltrating enemy territories to overthrow the brutal regime. Night, X-ray and thermal vision allows players to take the perspective of the secret operative where they must remain hidden from sight, scanning dark rooms and taking down enemy targets with silent precision. Protocol Zero is a thrilling Virtual Reality gameplay experience with maximized spatial interaction and stunning 3D graphics.

Protocol Zero is available exclusively for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Gear VR Innovation Edition powered by Oculus technology. Players must utilize the Samsung Gamepad or an Android game controller to control game capabilities in addition to the Gear VR's integrated touchpad and tracking sensors. Download the demo version of Protocol Zero at the Oculus Store.
